We were painting. Flair found a paint brush. Need I say more…?

She is just loving life. What it is to be a dog :)

I am the first person to admit that dogs shouldn’t be confined to a crate all day. They need to play, stretch their legs, and have human interaction. Especially goldens. This is why Steve comes home during lunch to take her out and play with her and I am able to work from home on Fridays so she can prance around the house like a happy puppy. She is spoiled that way.
She is a good puppy. She seemed to accept her kennel. And then… she rebelled.
We used to be able to say… “Flair is an Angel! She doesn’t eat anything!…She would never do that!” Oh, how naive we were….

We put a towel under the crate because the crate stained the carpet. No good. But what good is the towel on the outside of crate? Or maybe, this is the question that Flair asked herself yesterday morning. So she magically ripped the front and side of the towel, pulled it into her crate and killed it.
Here is a slightly better picture of the crate…

See how talented she is?! I am actually quite bemused as to how she accomplished this.
I can’t blame her for being a bit board… but really?! Thank goodness this was a cheap Target towel.
Anyone else ever see something like this? Any other towel shredding dogs out there?

Working from home is a blessing. It means that I can be home with my little girl…
And because one toy is never enough…
Meet Mr. Lamb. He is the new addition to Flair’s little family. On sale at Petco for $5. Now that is a toy we can afford!
As I am sitting in on my couch… diligently working…. she sits right next to me and gives me this face. Tell me it isn’t the cutest thing ever!?

Meet Flair – our fabulous Golden Retriever puppy. Two years and full of energy. We have had Flair for almost 2 months now, and – oh – how we have grown to love her! Even when she rips apart the toys we get her… such as The Duck, The Fox, The Bear, and The Lion. exhibit A:
Mr. Duck was actually in retirement in the closet. But that didn’t stop my little girl. She brought the duck over and pulled out the stuffing within 20 seconds. After a swift “NO!” from me, she jumped onto the couch to say “Sorry”. Honestly, how can I be mad at that face?

*sigh* The cuteness factor is unreal.
Does anyone have any suggestions for toys that WON’T get torn apart in a week? Our income can honestly not support such a death rate….
